• Historical Temperature and Salinity Data from Milford Laboratory  (December 2011)
  
  Over the long history of Milford Laboratory, physical data were collected regularly to support many experiments and studies that investigated molluscan biology, bivalve and finfish aquaculture, and the natural environment. Data from 1948 to the present are available on an MS Excel spreadsheet by following the link above.

  A pilot study in New York City's Bronx River explores use of nutrient bioextraction.

  
  
• Genetic Approaches for the Culture and Restoration of Bay Scallops  (September 2008)
  
  This manual addresses techniques and technology for developing genetic lines and genetic strategies to improve culture, stock enhancement, and restoration of the bay scallop.  Available through the Connecticut Sea Grant College Program.

  An educational project using beach seining to teach students ecological concepts. This effort was funded by

      A new manual describing bay scallop aquaculture techniques, developed at Milford Laboratory, is available through the Connecticut Sea Grant College Program at the University of Connecticut.
  
  
• Nitrogen Content in Fish -  (January 1999)  (* Published July 2002)   
  
  A recent study has shown that whole body nitrogen content is highly predictable from wet weight for 68 fish species and hybrids. This page provides an introduction to the study and a link to a database containing 2800 observations on fish nitrogen content.

• Bay Scallop Restoration - (December 1999) 
  
      An abstract is available of a recent publication that describes an investigation of bay scallop enhancement strategies in the Niantic River in Connecticut.
  
  
• Possible Ecological Impact of an Exotic Species - (December 1999)
  
      The Asian shore crab is an exotic species to the coastlines of the Northeastern U. S., that was first observed in 1988.  Recent studies have assessed its potential impact on juvenile bivalves.
